5 Homemade facial masks to try out

The struggle is real when it comes to controlling oily or pimply skin – ask any woman! Skincare products can be quite overpriced, yet it seems that using those further worsens the problem (I dare you to test my theory yourself). Lately, I’ve used cheaper alternatives and found that my skin started to look pretty healthy and spotless. I’ve also tried out some natural homemade products, and the results were quite satisfactory. Here are some facial masks that you should try out:

(P.S. Don’t use ingredients that you are allergic to!)

#1 Avocado-licious

This homemade facial mask is a go-to for people with dry skin (Bright Side, 2018).

Ingredients

½ ripe avocado

1 tablespoon milk

1 tablespoon honey

Directions

Blend all ingredients together, using an immersion- or stick blender.

Application

Apply the mixture to your face and rinse with warm water after 10-15 minutes.

#2 Bright-eyed

Woke up with dark circles under your eyes? If so, you shout try out the next one! (Dark Side, 2018).

Ingredients

1 teaspoon coffee grounds

½ ml black pepper

½ teaspoon coconut oil

Directions

Blend all ingredients together, using an immersion- or stick blender.

Application

Apply the mixture directly to the dark circles, and rinse with warm water after 5-10 minutes.

#3 Free the blackheads

Blackheads can be pretty nasty! Here’s how you can eliminate them (Bright Side, 2018). (P.S. This is a very smelly combination)

Ingredients

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon honey

½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Directions

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

Application

Apply the mixture to your face and rinse with lukewarm water after 10-15 minutes.

#4 Oily-free

We all like shiny things, except for when it comes to our skin. Try out the following mask to get rid of that unwanted shine (Bright Side, 2018).

Ingredients

½ potato

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

Grate the potato, and add the teaspoon of lemon juice to form a pulp.

Application

Apply the mixture to your face and rinse with cool water after 10 minutes.

#5 Coolcumber

Does your skin look and feel dull? Try out the following homemade facial mask for an overall healthier and glowing skin (Bright Side, 2018).

Ingredients

1 cucumber

Directions

Peel the cucumber and cut into slices OR blend until pulpy.

Application

Apply the mixture to your face and rinse with cool water after 15 minutes.
